The image comparison module is designed to compare different images together.
The window contains two widgets :
the settings widgets on the left contains settings to select the images to compare and define the comparison mode and the post processes applied to each image,
the preview widget on the right contains a preview of the result : you can select a layer to display and analyse.
If the selected images don't have the same resolution, the second image will be resized and/or cropped to fit the first image aspect ratio.
Both selected images can be post-processed individually, but you can choose to lock both post-processes together using the lock button on the second Mapping section.
Using this module, the save button has the following options :
LDR output : the processed output (the image currently displayed on screen) saved to a *.png file.
Slide Comparition
Slide Comparition
The slide comparison mode enables you to place both images at the exact same position and display one or another using an horizontal slider. This is especially useful to compare visually two images.
Parallel Comparison

The parallel comparison mode enables you to compare both image side by side.
Image Operation
Image Operation
The image operation mode enables you to apply simple operations between the two images (Addition, subtraction, Absolute subtraction, multiplication, and Delta E).
The resulting image can be displayed using the same kind of post-processed as the original image. Note that the Delta E is treated as any other operation but should always be analysed using False Colors.
